ESDA Open House and Recruitment

Residents interested in emergency preparedness and public service are invited to attend the Batavia Emergency Services and Disaster Agency (ESDA) Open House and Recruitment Event on Wednesday, Jan. 21, at 6:30 p.m. at Batavia Fire Station 2, 1400 Main St.

ESDA plays a vital role in supporting the community before, during, and after emergencies. Volunteers assist with emergency preparedness planning, severe weather operations, emergency communications, traffic and scene support, community events, weather spotting, and disaster response and recovery.

The open house is an opportunity to learn how ESDA works alongside police, fire, and other City departments—and how residents can get involved. ESDA is seeking community-minded individuals who want to help during emergencies, learn valuable response skills, and serve as part of a trusted public safety support team.
