Community Development
The Community Development Department coordinates and reviews development within Batavia. The Department reviews these projects for compliance with the City's Comprehensive Plan, Zoning and Building codes. The Department is made up of planners, inspectors, and code compliance personnel. These individuals oversee, review and inspect all development and construction in the City. The Department also provides technical support to elected and appointed City officials, residents, business owners and other governmental units, in order to insure development and construction that comply with the goals of city and all applicable codes.

Office Hours: The Community Development Department is open Monday through Friday 8 AM to 5 PM. It is closed Wednesday from 11 AM to 12 PM and Saturday & Sunday
