The final brush collection of the year starts on Monday, November 28, for both sides of town. Brush should be at the curb by 7 a.m. on Monday but no sooner than the weekend before that. For more information about the program, please click here or call 630-454-2400.
Our crews completed the third and final collection for the east side this week. Due to heavy volumes, crews will be working on the west side on Friday, 11/18, and Saturday, 11/19, to get a head start. During these two days, the crews will focus on collecting the greatest volume of leaves possible, so leaves that are within reach of the vacuum will be collected but there will be no raking. Any west side areas done on Friday, 11/18, or Saturday, 11/19, will still be covered during the third and final west side collection the week of 11/21. We hope to be finished with the west side by Wednesday, 11/23, but due to the holidays there is a chance that we may need to go into the week of 11/28 to collect only those addresses that were not done the previous week. For additional details about the program, including alternate options and a daily progress map, please click here or call 630-454-2400.

Kane County 2040 Long-Range Transportation Plan Survey Available
Kane County is updating the 2040 Long-Range Transportation Plan and needs your help to identify the top priorities and areas of improvement the plan should address. The plan will become a long-term guide to improve the conditions of roadways, public transportation, bicycle and pedestrian travel, economic vitality, and help to prioritize infrastructure funding decisions. The result will lead to a higher quality of life for stakeholders in Kane County.
The County launched an interactive online survey, where participants can easily use their computer, tablet or smart phone to provide their feedback. This interactive survey takes less than 5 minutes and will play a key role in helping us to shape the future of Kane County’s Long Range Transportation Plan.
Share your vision for Kane County! You have through December 5, 2016 to take the survey in English or Spanish.
