Kane County Suspends Electronics Recycling Program
Kane County is suspending its free electronics recycling program due to the large volume of televisions being brought to the recycling collection events, resulting in overwhelming and unmanageable attendance at the County’s April and May events in St. Charles. The Recycling Extravaganza will still be held on Saturday, June 11, from 8 a.m. to 12 noon, but electronics will not be accepted.
The County is working on solutions to the electronics recycling problem. Please refer to the Kane County Recycles webpage for updates about the program or view a list of Alternative Electronics Recycling Locations. Questions may be directed to Jennifer Jarland, Kane County Recycling Coordinator at 630-208-3841 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
