Batavia High School 2017 Homecoming Week Annual Parade Kicks off at 5 p.m on Wednesday, October 4
September 12, 2017 (Batavia, IL) - Batavia High School’s 2017 Homecoming Week starts on Monday, October 2. Activities for the entire community include:
Homecoming Parade: The parade is Wed., Oct. 4 at 5 p.m., and will begin at River Street, head west on Wilson, and end at Batavia High School. The Wilson Street Bridge and Wilson Street between Rt. 25 and Rt. 31 will close at 4:40 p.m. to through traffic. If there is inclement weather, the cancellation will be made at 4 p.m. and will be posted on the Batavia High School and District websites, twitter accounts, and Facebook pages. Unfortunately, due to police regulations and logistics, the parade will not be rescheduled.
BPS101 Hall of Honor Celebration: On Thursday, Oct. 5, starting at 6 p.m. at the Batavia Fine Arts Centre, Batavia Public School District 101 will welcome eight inductees into the Hall of Honor. The Hall of Honor was initiated by the Batavia Foundation for Educational Excellence and BPS101 to promote pride in Batavia Public Schools and to honor alumni, faculty, and friends who have made outstanding accomplishments in their communities and personal lives since they have been associated with BPS101.
The event is open to the community and will feature cuisine from local restaurants, including Gaetano’s, Pal Joey’s, Crosstown Pub and Grill, Rivers Edge Bar & Grill, Aliano's Ristorante, Fernando's Street Kitchen, and Chick-fil-A. Tickets are $25/adult and $5/children 15 and under. Tickets can be purchased at hoh.ezregister.com or at the door.

Homecoming Game: On Friday, October 6, the Batavia Bulldogs will take on the South Elgin Storm at Bulldog Stadium. Kick-off time is 7:30 p.m. The 2017 Homecoming Court and BPS101 Hall of Honor inductees will be introduced between games.
