Public Hearing: 424 Park Street - Variances for a second story addition

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given to all persons concerned that on the 21st day of June, 2017 at 7:00 PM in the City Council Chambers of the Municipal Building at 100 North Island Avenue, Batavia Illinois, the Batavia Zoning of Board Appeals will meet and a Public Hearing will be held pursuant to Chapter 5.6 of the Batavia Zoning Code to consider an application for 2 variances to the Batavia Zoning Code (City Code Title 10). One variance is from Section 2.104 to allow a second story addition to occupy space over the existing footprint of the first floor structure on the northeast side of the building with a setback of approximately 1.70 feet instead of the minimum 7.5 feet. The other variance is from Section 4.101 to allow the addition’s roof to be located within approximately 1.3 feet from the north property line instead of the 3 feet required.

The subject property is located at 424 Park Street, Batavia, IL (PIN 12-15-485-002). The applicant and property owners are Amy and Guillermo Arellanes. All interested persons, and in particular, adjacent property owners, are invited to attend said Hearing.
