The City of Batavia is now in the 5-year maintenance and monitoring period of the Braeburn Marsh Drainage Improvement project. The project was completed in the fall of 2010 for the west side and 2011 for the east side. The monitoring is required by the US Army Corps of Engineers to make sure the area is fully restored after the improvements.
The purpose of this project is to analyze the existing storm sewer system and improve the system that is tributary to the upstream box culverts south of Giese Road on Kirk Road.
